School Visits

One of my favorite things about becoming a writer is the opportunity to visit schools and talk to students about writing and to discuss my books. I believe reading is one of the most important elements in the development of a child's skills. Books can open the eyes of a reader to possibilities that nothing else can. The reader can visit places and dream dreams they would never have thought possible.

I have spoken to school groups from 4th grade to high school book clubs. I can do a presentation about my Kentucky Summers series of books or conduct writing clinics with students. At one school I held a writing contest with students from 6th to 8th grade and gave copies of my books to the winners.

I try not to charge a fee for school visits. Please contact me for information.

If you are interested in purchasing copies of the books (at a special bulk rate) for classes or would like to talk about scheduling a school visit you can contact me at:

See you in school, I think I hear the bell ringing.

Blessings,
Tim
