We Are Kentucky’s is the author Tim Callahan’s twelfth book in the Kentucky Summer’s 2 series and the twentieth and final book in the entire series. It is filled with the author’s homage to Kentucky and what it means to him.

Tucky said, “Dad told us about noodling once. I thought he was making it up.”
Suddenly, Purty turned around in the river and started back toward the noodling man.
“What are you doing?!” Tucky cried out.
“I want to catch one!” he yelled back.
“No, Purty!” I yelled.
The catfish took off down the river. The only problem was, Purty was still attached to the giant flathead. I was within twenty feet of him when he began going down river. It looked like he was being forced to go. What in the world was happening?
The man yelled out, “The catfish has him!”
